Fill the machine’s water reservoir or connect to the water supply as configured, then power the unit and allow it to reach operating temperature. Grind coffee to an appropriate espresso fineness, dose and distribute in the portafilter, and tamp evenly. Insert the portafilter into the brew group, select manual extraction, and initiate the shot. Monitor extraction time and flow to achieve the desired volume for espresso, ristretto or lungo, adjusting grind size or dose as needed. After brewing, purge the group briefly to clear residual coffee and wipe the group and steam wand for routine maintenance.
For consistent results, use freshly roasted coffee beans and a calibrated grinder.
