BRAUN Scouting Cam Black1300 WiFi is an outdoor IP security box camera designed for perimeter monitoring, entrance surveillance and basic outdoor security. Equipped with a 13 MP CMOS image sensor, the camera captures photos up to 48 MP and records Full HD and 4K video. The compact, camouflage-coloured housing is dust- and water-resistant (IP66) and weighs 0.264 kg. Integrated WiFi and Bluetooth allow direct connection to a smartphone for live preview, configuration and file transfer via the free app; recordings are also stored on a user-upgradable SD card (up to 128 GB).

Mount the camera using the supplied strap or bracket at the desired outdoor location, ensuring a stable attachment and unobstructed field of view. Insert a microSD card (up to 128 GB) and eight AA batteries or connect an appropriate external power pack. Activate WiFi via the camera’s Bluetooth pairing, then connect with the free smartphone app to adjust settings, preview live images, start manual recordings and download files. Configure motion detection zones, trigger sensitivity and recording modes (single images, video, time-lapse) according to the monitoring requirements, and set date/time and password protection for device security.

Usage recommendations

For reliable detection and clear images, position the camera at an appropriate height and angle so the main subject passes across the detection zone rather than directly toward the lens.
