How to use

Power on the camera and choose a Film Simulation mode using the top-plate Film Simulation dial or select settings via the touchscreen menu. Set shutter speed and exposure compensation using the dedicated dials and adjust aperture on compatible XF lenses. Use the electronic viewfinder or the tilting LCD for composition; touch the rear screen to set or track a subject in AF-C with Wide/Tracking AF. For video, select the desired recording format (for example 6.2K/30p or 4K/60p) and enable F-Log or F-Log2 if extended dynamic range is required. Transfer images and video wirelessly through FUJIFILM XApp or enable Frame.io Camera to Cloud after authenticating to an active internet connection.

Usage recommendations

For best image quality, start shooting at native ISO 125 when lighting allows to take advantage of the sensor’s improved low-light performance and resolution. Use IBIS when shooting handheld to reduce blur, and switch to F-Log2 for maximum latitude in post-production when capturing high-dynamic-range video. Use the Film Simulation dial to quickly preview different looks in-camera and combine Film Simulations with grain and highlight/shadow adjustments for tailored results.
