Midland C1414.03 is a two-unit motorcycle intercom set designed for helmet-to-helmet communication. The kit uses Bluetooth 4.2 dual-chipset technology to support full-duplex conversations with up to eight users (four bikes) in Conference mode, and up to six users in One-to-One mode. It provides an intercom range of up to 1.6 km in open conditions, IPX6 waterproof protection, compact dimensions of 90×45×18 mm per unit, and up to 23 hours of talk time per charge. The system integrates digital audio processing with DSP noise suppression and AGC for automatic volume adjustment depending on background noise, supports simultaneous intercom use with GPS directions and stereo music, and allows sharing of music and navigation between paired units.
The Midland C1414.03 delivers extended battery life and robust waterproofing suitable for varied riding conditions. Dual-chipset Bluetooth 4.2 enables reliable multi-user conferencing and one-to-one links in full duplex, while DSP noise suppression and AGC maintain clear voice quality in noisy environments. Built-in features include music sharing, FM radio with RDS and six storable stations, status voice messages, and the ability to connect two smartphones for calls and media. Firmware updates and deeper configuration are available via PC/Mac and a smartphone app.
Attach each unit to compatible helmets following the manufacturer’s mounting instructions and connect the supplied microphone and speakers. Power on the devices and pair them via Bluetooth following the pairing procedure to create a Conference group or One-to-One link. Use the controls on the unit or the paired smartphone app to adjust volume, enable or disable AGC and DSP features, select FM radio stations, and share music or GPS audio with other paired units. Perform firmware updates by connecting the unit to a PC or Mac via the Micro-USB port and running the BTUpdater software, and use the smartphone app for further configuration and monitoring.
For optimal intercom range and audio clarity, pair and position antennas according to the helmet mounting guide, keep firmware up to date, and adjust AGC/DSP settings to match typical riding noise levels. In wet conditions IPX6 provides protection against powerful water jets, but regular inspection of mounting and cable connections is advised. When riding in groups, confirm that all riders use compatible intercom settings (Conference vs. One-to-One) to ensure stable connections.
